We left Nashville TN and arrived in Houston TX. The next stop was Hatch Colorado. Finally we made it to Bluff Utah where I found this fabulous Studebaker behind the Recapture Lodge. Following the road behind the lodge, we found the San Juan river. This is one of the "put-ins" if you want to take a river trip. There is rock art on this trip that you can't see any other way. We did not take this trip.
Last year Barbara and Beth spent a week on an archeological site survey on Comb Ridge seen here in the background. This sandstone escarpment runs north/south about 40 or so miles. The dirt road is a state highway and runs parallel to the comb. |
