The 1880's English Victorian Village nestled on the Cumberland Plateau was just beautiful decorated with native greenery, a fresh coat of snow and filled with the Spirit of Christmas.

The sounds and smells of Christmas were everywhere as we walked through the woods. At Newberry House we were greeted by Miss Emily Hughes and stayed to hear the hammered dulcimer played by Mr.Yates. Emily's Grandmother, Madam Hughes, kept us entertained at her son Thomas' house and later we enjoyed the lavish meal served at the Harrow Road Cafe.

We awoke Sunday morning to find the perfect snow gently covering every branch, twig and blade of grass. If you would like to find out more about Historic Rugby view their web page: http://www.historicrugby.org
